Scene7’s Image Production System (IPS) is a powerful rich media management and publishing environment. This simple browser-based system is the ideal solution for centralizing and controlling rich media management and production throughout your enterprise. Images from IPS can be made available to any number of applications or delivery mediums – Web, email, displays, print, or for use in Microsoft Office applications.

IPS allows you to deploy dynamic media directly to any Scene7 Image Server and Render Server for dynamic Internet-Based delivery or pre-generate image derivatives for offline use in any media – without requiring IT resources. Internal users such as business users, creative teams, technical staff and external business partners can easily organize, retrieve, prepare, approve, share, review, correct, and publish dynamic media using IPS.

A new feature allows Microsoft Office users to access images in IPS directly through the Microsoft Research Service for use in Word documents and PowerPoint presentations.

Key modules:
Scene7’s Image Production System includes the following key modules:
Dynamic imaging: Scene7’s Dynamic Imaging base module for IPS allows you to deploy your image assets for zoom, merchandised “hot spots”, dynamic resizing, 360-degree spin, color swatching and alternative view (sets), dynamic texture rendering with templating (preview), eVideos, image-editing tasks (masking, borders, drop-shadows, sharpen, flip, etc.), as well as self-configure dynamic integrated rich media viewers combining one or all of these effects.
Templating: The templating module for IPS allows the creation of dynamic templates to combine data-driven text and graphics with dynamic color/texture swatching – enabling the delivery of personalized promotions (banners, borders, and text) and customized, monogrammed, decalled products for Web and email campaigns.
eCatalog publishing: Scene7 is the only eCatalog provider to have “productized” the eCatalog publishing process with a simple browser-based management system to streamline the ‘back office’ efforts associated with managing, authoring (creating) and publishing catalog pages. With IPS eCatalog publishing module, you can easily and cost-effectively create an enhanced Web version of your existing printed direct marketing materials in just minutes.
Scene7 for Microsoft Office 2003: Scene7 for Microsoft Office 2003 module allows you to search the image repository within IPS for corporate approved imagery, which can be modified and inserted into your Word documents or PowerPoint presentations to ensure accurate, up-to-date visual information.

Scene7 Platform Integration

Scene7’s IPS is the browser-based management system that integrates with all Scene7’s modules and solutions to facilitate the image production and publishing of rich media.

All vignettes (authored images) and digital full repeats created by Scene7 Image Authoring can be published directly into IPS – individually or batch processed.

In IPS, all master imagery and URL commands can either be published to Scene7 Image Server or Render Server.

IPS is an integral component of each Scene7 solution, Dynamic Imaging, eCatalogs, Product Configurators and Dynamic Asset Management.
