Sierra Trading Post Grows Revenues 25% & Quadruples Output while Avoiding 75% Labor Costs using Scene7’s On-Demand Rich Media Solution


Novato, CA — June 28, 2005 — Scene7®, the market leader in automated rich media solutions for the web, email and print, today announced that leading outdoor apparel retailer and cataloger Sierra Trading Post is utilizing Scene7’s On-Demand hosted rich media platform to add dynamic zoom, re-sizing, and color swatching across its e-commerce website. Scene7’s Dynamic Imaging Solution has contributed to a 25% increase in revenues year over year, and allowed it to achieve four times more production output while avoiding over 75% labor costs.

The process of generating and delivering website imagery from Scene7’s On-Demand network is simple and cost-effective. “We simply upload any number of product images and place them in the proper folder, then specify which images to push to the live servers,” said Richardson. “Scene7’s free-form zoom is automatically provided for every image, and with Scene7’s color swatching, we can generate every available color option from one single master image, avoiding significant additional photography costs.
