Design Center Solutions Shortens Sales Cycle by 75% using Scene7's
Dynamic Customization to New Home Builder Market
Offers Virtual Room Design in Home Builder Design Centers to Generate
Product Upgrades
Novato, CA — September 15, 2004 — Scene7®, provider
of the leading rich media platform to grow revenues and enhance visual
communications – while automating media production and delivery,
today announced that Design Center Solutions (DCS) is utilizing Scene7’s
Dynamic Customization to enhance its industry-leading program by adding
“virtual room design” capabilities. Branded “Creating
Your Space”, home builders can give their customers the ability
to visualize their own home upgrade choices such as flooring, countertops,
cabinetry, paints and appliances in a photo-realistic room setting
– generating more upgrades, increasing customer satisfaction
and ultimately, driving more profit per home sale.
DCS, a marketing service and interactive agency offers leading solutions
to enhance home builders’ design centers. Using Scene7’s
Dynamic Customization, DCS created “virtual rooms” that
allow home buyers to click on any area in the room such as the floor,
cabinets, or countertop to automatically be presented all the product
options available in that particular home development. As a user clicks
on a selection, the product will dynamically appear in the room – in
perfect photo-quality with accurate lighting, shadows and reflections.
Home buyers can save their selections and print out a visual summary
of each room and bring them to the Design Center to make their selections
and purchase their home products. Using Scene7’s real-time customization
allows for nearly unlimited design combinations while avoiding costly
build-outs and photography.
“Scene7’s Dynamic Customization enables us to create a
tailored, personalized environment for our builders to present their
customers with all available products in a specific home development,”
said Michael Vogel, President and CEO of Design Center Solutions.
“It’s great for the builder and it’s great for the
home buyer when a buyer can preview available options and then visualize
his or her selections in a real-home setting – all prior to
the first Design Center meeting. Satisfied customers come to the Design
Center ready to buy – ultimately generating more upgrades and
bottom line profit per home sale.”
Scene7’s Dynamic Customization is having a direct positive impact
on DCS sales. The addition of Scene7 to the “Creating Your Space”
application has enabled DCS to reach its year end revenue goal in
less than 4 months. A survey of approximately 800 home buyers from
the DCS Website revealed that the number one requested feature was
“View products in a room.” Approximately 48% of all respondents
requested this feature, more than two to one over any other request.
“It is very clear to us that offering this single feature has
made a big impact on our builders and ultimately their customers,”
said Vogel. “Because of our overwhelming success, we are planning
to expand our offerings using Scene7 solutions to new target markets
including home improvement manufacturers.”
“We’re excited to be partnering with industry-thought
leaders like Design Center Solutions. Using our dynamic customization
to enhance the visual communication between home builders and their
customers is a first of a kind in the home builder market,”
said Doug Mack, CEO of Scene7. “We’re looking forward
to working with DCS on new opportunities as the company expands their
services to new vertical markets.”
