Hanna Andersson Selects Scene7's Infinite Imaging™ Platform
to Enhance Online Shopping Experience & Drive Sales
Novato, CA — May 25, 2004 — Scene7, the leading provider
of dynamic imaging software, today announced that Hanna Andersson
has licensed Scene7's Infinite Imaging™ Platform to provide
enhanced imagery for its e-commerce Website. Hanna Andersson, a manufacturer
and multi-channel retailer of high-quality, European-styled clothing,
plans to add dynamic color changing and image zooming to promote the
variety and quality of its product line.
“We are very impressed with the breadth of Scene7’s functionality
and superior image quality,” said Robyn Thomson, Web Designer
for Hanna Andersson. “Scene7’s dynamic imaging platform
will enable us to cost-effectively deliver imagery that shows off
the quality of our premium clothing, which will ultimately increase
our revenues while providing our customers a more satisfying online
experience.”
Hanna Andersson plans to utilize Scene7’s platform to create
photo-quality rendered images in different colors from a single master
image. These “clickable color swatches” will enable Website
visitors to dynamically view items in all available colors using existing
single item and on model imagery. By re-purposing expensive photography,
Hanna Andersson will avoid costly re-shooting of every item with every
color option – realizing savings of up to 50%. Then by incorporating
Scene7’s proprietary zooming and panning capabilities, Hanna
Andersson will feature detailed areas on the image, highlighting to
customers unique product details such as fabric, construction, and
trim accessories.
All image production including batch colorizing and zooming of images
is performed using Scene7’s browser-based management and publishing
system. This easy-to-use application allows both non-technical and
technical users to create and publish the master images and commands
to dynamically generate imagery for both Website and offline uses.
The automation of these repetitive image processing tasks enables
Hanna Andersson to achieve production efficiencies and drastically
reduce the time and costs associated with visual media production.
"We are proud to name Hanna Andersson as a customer," said
Doug Mack, CEO of Scene7. “The company’s reputation for
delivering quality merchandise along with charitable works for children
and the community make them a great partner to work with and fits
our corporate culture.”
