Scene7 Teams with Fry, Inc. to Provide Visually Dynamic Multi-Channel
Business Solutions
Novato,CA April 13, 2004 Scene7, the leading provider
of dynamic imaging software, today announced that Fry, Inc, a leading
e-commerce design, development and managed services provider, is working
with Scene7 to provide visually rich website solutions for industries
including retail, consumer packaged goods, manufacturing, high tech,
broadcasting and automotive markets. By combining Scene7’s Infinite
Imaging Platform™ with its web-based applications offerings,
Fry and Scene7 will enable their customers to increase multi-channel
revenues and reduce the costs associated with the development of Web
sites and portals using visual media assets. Scene7 and Fry will work
together to develop joint sales and co-marketing opportunities.
“We’ll work with Scene7 to develop next-generation visually
rich transactional websites,” said David Fry, Founder and CEO
of Fry, Inc. “Our customers’ online operations have reached
a point of sophistication where employing technology that improves
the user experience can have significant impact on the business. Scene7’s
dynamic imaging platform is a natural fit for our solution offerings.”
Scene7’s Infinite Imaging Platform increases sales and marketing
effectiveness by dynamically generating rich visual media for online
and offline channels. Enhanced visual effects as zoom, colorize, texture
mapping and 360 spin can be applied to images on Web sites, creating
an immersive online experience. Scene7’s platform automatically
creates derivatives from single master images, eliminating the need
for offline manual image editing. Because these derivatives are generated
and delivered to the desired medium in real time, the time and costs
associated with image production are drastically reduced.
In addition, Scene7’s dynamic imaging capabilities enable companies
to deliver clear, consistent branding across all channels by re-purposing
corporate approved imagery for delivery to the Web, multi-media kiosks,
print and online catalogs.
“Fry’s expertise across a variety of industries, especially
retail, manufacturing, and consumer packaged goods will enable us
to expand the reach of our platform and deliver “best-of-breed”
dynamic visual media solutions to the market,” said Doug Mack,
CEO of Scene7. “We’re excited to work together to build
a strong partnership that will greatly benefit our customers.”
