Scene7 Launches eCatalog Solution to Drive Cross-Channel Sales
Easily transform existing print materials to websites

Novato,CA — November 18, 2003 — Scene7, the leading provider of dynamic imaging software, today announced the availability of Scene7’s eCatalog solution, enabling companies to cost-effectively transform their print collateral to enhanced web-delivered versions – catalogs, circulars, brochures, flyers, ROP. eCatalog provides a seamless buying experience, allowing customers to digitally flip through the pages on the web and immediately click-thru to the product on a website – providing a cohesive multi-channel customer experience.

"Scene7 now offers the most cost-effective, flexible eCatalog solution in the market today, helping our customers extend their considerable investment in offline marketing to online customers," states Doug Mack, CEO of Scene7. “Our solution is easily deployed to a website with a full spectrum of acquisition options – from outsourced “On Demand” to package software, providing our customers the critical flexibility they need today and in the future."

eCatalog is delivered using standard Flash-based animation viewing. The content is automatically streamed to the client’s browser – no special plug-ins are required. Scene7’s best-in-class Image Server technology provides enhanced page viewing – dynamic zoom and pan on fine details – as well as exceptional navigation features to flip pages one at a time or jump to any page instantly. Customers click product images to link directly to marketing or e-commerce websites for purchase.

Now with eCatalog, clients can leverage their investment in printed marketing assets to expand their reach to a broader online viewership and deliver a consistent cross-channel buying experience to increase overall spending.

Flexible Acquisition Options

eCatalog can be quickly published through a variety of implementation options.
DIFM (“Do It For Me”) – A fully outsourced, hosted offering, in partnership with IBM and Akamai to ensure world-class reliability, scalability and robustness. Simply provide print artwork to Scene7 in standard PDF or Quark format – and Scene7 will create, publish and host the interactive eCatalog.

DIY (“Do It Yourself”) – Utilizing Scene7’s hosted network, clients directly access the Scene7 Image Production System to load, prepare and publish print materials to Scene7’s network – giving clients the flexibility to operate on their own.

License eCatalog Authoring Software – License Scene7 software for in-house acquisitions.
eCatalog leverages Scene7’s Infinite Imaging™ Platform (IIP), the industry’s first complete platform for dynamic image management, production and publishing. IIP dynamically generates unlimited image variations from a single master to automatically populate Web sites and produce content for other media — including websites, catalogs, partner extranets and marketing collateral.
