Scene7™, Inc., Formally Launches, Showcasing Full Suite of Interactive Imaging Technologies
Company Announces Licensing Deals With 10 Major Apparel, Home Furnishings and Consumer Products Brands

SAN RAFAEL, CA  — Scene7™
— a new interactive imaging technology company, launched today with a suite of highly-visual, interactive technologies to help companies sell more effectively and efficiently online, in-store and in-person. Scene7 has entered relationships with 10 major brands, including Victoria's Secret, Sanyo, F. Schumacher/Waverly, Krause's Furniture and Broderbund. Additional relationships will be announced in coming months.

"Scene7 is the first company to offer a full suite of technologies that unlock the interactive nature of the Internet and related delivery outlets," said Doug Mack, Scene7's CEO. "We are helping clients increase sales, strengthen their brands, increase customer satisfaction and reduce sales cycles."

Backed by Hearst Interactive, Thomas H. Lee Partners, Weston Presidio Capital, Halpern Denny and Rhodes Partners, Scene7 was formed based on technology from Broderbund Software and GoodHome.com. Scene7 is based in San Rafael, California.

Scene7 Interactive Technologies
Scene7's interactive imaging technologies transform static digital product catalogs into interactive, high-impact selling vehicles - which can be delivered via the Internet through personal computers, in-store displays, direct sales force, or even emerging vehicles, such as interactive television.

Scene7 currently offers seven technologies that allow companies to offer interactive features, including real-time image customization, multi-angle viewing, side-by-side image presentation and real-world image effects such as lighting and shadowing. Technologies include:

Infinite Imaging™ Software: This proprietary rendering technology enables companies to visually present their entire product lines, with all potential options. Customers can instantly view product options and combinations by changing out colors, materials, textures, fabrics, finishes, surfaces and patterns. Infinite Imaging can be implemented on a single item or in an image with multiple products featured.

Infinite 3D: Customers can fluidly rotate a 3D product in real-time for viewing from any angle. In addition, companies can combine 3D Viewing with Infinite Imaging to enable customers to change-out materials to view options in 3D.

Coordinating: Mix and match any combination of products. Coordinating technology lets customers pick and choose their favorite items, then view them side-by-side, overlap and resize them.

Planning: Easily lay out a detailed schematic and see how products will fit in the space - ideal for industries such as home improvement, real estate and decorating. Scene7's Planning technology automatically positions items within a space and accurately displays size and scale.

"Our clients and their customers will see an immediate benefit to their businesses by implementing our technologies," said Mack. "By increasing customer confidence and satisfaction, our clients can increase their sales and sell more efficiently through shorter sales cycles."

Leading Management Expertise
CEO Doug Mack will head Scene7. Mack has previously held senior management positions at GoodHome.com, Broderbund, McKinsey & Company and General Electric. Scene7's Chief Operating Officer Peter Noel has more than 20 years of business management experience with an expertise in technology, holding senior positions at GoodHome.com, Autodesk Software and General Electric. Noel heads Scene7's top-flight technology unit, with a seasoned team of development experts with over 10 years of domain-specific expertise in each key area.

"Scene7 is led by a seasoned team of management professionals with a shared passion for delivering technologies that offer our clients innovative new ways of selling their products," said Noel. "Our executive managers and engineers have worked together for several years as a team — and are committed to setting the industry's standard of excellence."
