LaCrosse Footwear uses Scene7 to provide detailed, enhanced views of each shoe, enabling consumers to dynamically zoom and pan on products and giving them greater confidence in their online purchases. Scene7’s uniquely scalable publishing system uses single master images to produce multiple image derivatives on-demand, significantly decreasing the time and costs associated with image creation and publishing. LaCrosse Footwear has also streamlined its process for delivering product images to its network of dealers with the Scene7 Media Portal solution – an add-on to the Adobe Scene7 platform that provides companies with the ability to easily control and distribute approved brand assets to external partners and channels, as well as internal business users. Scene7 Media Portal houses the complete library of high-resolution images for all LaCrosse and Danner brand products. This browser-based, self-serve environment provides users with administrator-controlled views into Scene7 for easy access to browse, search, preview, and export imagery in corporate-approved formats.
The company also recently added a visual boot configurator on myDanner.com that offers customers the ability to build their own custom "myDanner" boots. Customers can choose from one of three popular styles, then select and visualize in real-time five different configuration options from leather, lining, outsoles, hardware, and laces. Unique to this application is that the user can view multiple views and angles of any choice or option and has the ability to zoom on each view that is dynamically updated as options change.
In addition, LaCrosse has used Scene7 eCatalogs to dynamically assemble and serve online versions of its catalogs which are produced four times a year. The online catalogs are currently linked on the Web site and were used to further support the company’s dealer and distribution channel. They are also considering using them to provide another medium for consumers to browse and purchase LaCrosse products.

"With Scene7 Media Portal, the marketing team is now able to quickly deliver rich media assets to our channel, which eliminated the costs associated with CD replication, and we no longer have to support all the different mediums and asset sizes," added Rydmark.
Scene7's performance-optimized, data-driven content serving automatically displays infinite variations from personal choices making it simple and cost-effective to add or change configuration options such as new leather colors or outsole choices. It would otherwise be too cost prohibitive to pre-generate all options, different angles and offer zoom on all these features without Scene7's scalable technology.
