FutureStock, headquartered in Chatham, NY is a part of NancyScans Companies, an affiliation of three corporations all dedicated to the production and distribution of high quality photographic images and output. FutureStock provides stock photography and large-format digital print services. As a stock photography agency that caters to professionals, FutureStock was seeking a solution that would give its online customers an easy way to select and purchase from its vast library of over 200,000 high quality images. FutureStock implemented Scene7’s Dynamic Imaging solution to automatically generate and deliver optimized imagery. On the FutureStock website, Scene7’s Dynamic Imaging enables customers to select an image, zoom in deep to inspect its quality, and crop it to fit their needs. “We chose Scene7 because they offered the widest range of rich media solutions from a single integrated platform,” said Yoon Chung, Director of Operations for FutureStock. “With over 200,000 high resolution images served from our digital image library system, we required a reliable, scalable solution that would enable us to show the quality and details of our imagery and streamline our website production process.” Scene7’s rich media platform dynamically generates and delivers unlimited derivatives from single master images, enabling FutureStock to automatically prepare and deliver its vast library of high resolution images for the web. These image derivatives are optimized to ensure the fastest delivery regardless of the customers’ bandwidth, preserving image quality while improving site performance for those customers with slow connection speeds. Scene7’s Dynamic Imaging is enabling FutureStock to reduce its image production and publishing costs by centralizing its image management and production into one location, reducing the overall number of images under management, and enabling FutureStock to add new imagery to the site without manual processes.
