Professional Services Field Engineer
Scene7 seeks a talented Professional Services Field Engineer who will drive customer satisfaction through services that are conducted at a client’s site. These services include discovery, training, software development, installations, deployment, and maintenance. Travel to clients will be necessary. You will consult with end-user clients to determine software requirements, develop statements of work, and create software design specifications. You will adhere to the quality control process for debugging and troubleshooting code. You will interact with client IT staff, and provide training on developed applications. Applications may include HTML, Java, .NET, database, and/or Flash development.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/MIS, Mathematics or Software Engineering preferred. |

Minimum 5 years professional experience. |

|
Minimum of 2 years performing onsite customer support, development and/or installations. |

|
3+ years direct experience in software programming. |
| · |
|
2+ years experience developing web based applications. |
| · |
|
Previous pre-sales or service experience in a related industry preferred. |
| · |
|
Not constrained by travel requirements. |
| Software skills: |
C, C++, Java, HTML, Microsoft Visual Studio, Word and Excel, Microsoft Windows 2000, Linux, Solaris, AIX, .NET, ASP, JSP, Flash and UNIX. Database experience in Oracle, DB2, and SQL. Strong design and trouble-shooting skills. Solid understanding of network communications, and various programming environments. Adobe Photoshop and prior experience in the graphic arts preferred.
Success factors for this position include strong time management and prioritization skills; excellent interpersonal & communication skills, both verbal and written; and an eagerness and ability to quickly and thoroughly understand all Scene7 products, applications, and related processes. Ability to handle change and to work in a fast paced environment. Able to work with and without supervision. Very strong customer service mindset. |
